Who was the best rock band of the '80s?

This ass clown debates the best rock band of the 80s and it comes down to REM and U2? Fuck you! Motley Crue, hands down.

I don't know.. I'm down with the Crue, but they only had 3 good albums: Too Fast For Love, Shout at the Devil, and Dr. Feelgood. Everything else sucked ball stains.

But who is the greatest? GnR came on the scene too late to really be an 80's band. They were more on the cusp of the 90's. Metallica loses because they all turned out so gay in the present. Van Halen was pretty big, but Van Hagar ruined it. Rush was for fags.

I never really considered REM to be rock, and U2 pretty much fell into Bon Jovi territory (gay) with me.

No, the greatest rock band of the 80's was not a band, but a man: Ozzy Osbourne.

No. Ozzy sold out and made a fool of himself on Reality TV. Motley Crue. I have both box sets and I'm almost finished with 'The Dirt.' RESPECT!

Yeah, that was much worse than "Remaking Vince Neil" on VH1.
